Sprint race of the OL WM 2003 on Tuesday live on Swiss broadcasting TV DRS

The Swiss TV is going to televise the Sprint race of the OL WM 2003 on Tuesday, August 5, 2003, live and in full length on channel SF2 between 4.25 and 6.40 p.m. This will be the first live broadcast of an orienteering race by the Swiss TV ever.

For the live broadcast of the women's and men's sprint in the Old Town of Rapperswil 10 cameras and 60 employees of the SF DRS and the tpc (TV Production Center Zurich) will be at work. The aim of the live pictures of SF DRS is to give an insight into the race atmosphere and the special dynamics of a sprint orienteering event.

The SF DRS commentator Stefan Bürer who will be assisted by the triple orienteering relay world champion Christian Aebersold will comment the happening. Moreover, with Dominik Humbel (orienteering relay world champion 1993) there is another orienteering expert on board as an assistant to the direction of SF DRS.

The feature broadcast "Sport aktuell" on channel SF2 on Tuesday, August 5, 2003, 10.20 p.m., will also be centered on the sprint event as the opening race or the OL WM 2003 of Rapperswil/Jona.
